Terms & Conditions

A contract exists as soon as you have paid a non-refundable payment/deposit and you have confirmed that you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions, to confirmed you have read the T&C`s please tick the box on your booking form. 

 

Your booking is personal to you, and you cannot assign or transfer it to any other person.

 

  • Deposits or balances are non-refundable for ANY reason. Any amendments (not cancellations) to your original reservation will be charged a £10 administration fee however small the change. This includes making a booking twice and processing card payments twice in your error.
  • If a cancellation is made within 28 days of your booking date. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN however, you will be given the option to transfer the value of your stay to an alternative date within 12 months of your original booking.
  • All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by either email or post. We will acknowledge the cancellation and ask for the relevant documented evidence to be sent to us.
  • It is regretted that no refunds can be made, if guests depart prior to the end of the booked holiday for any reason, including weather conditions.
  • When we confirm a telephone booking with you in writing/email, we recommend that you check your booking confirmation carefully. If you notice any discrepancies, then please let us know immediately and insure you can adhere to terms and conditions then confirm beforeproceeding with a payment
  • The person making the booking is responsible for it and confirms that they are over the age of 18 and staying on the pitch for the duration of the stay. All stays are for recreation or holiday purposes only.
  • Maximum of 6 guest per a pitch (4 adults only) this will include children and infants, this is to preserve the peace and quiet of the park for all our guests.
  • Small group booking accepted solely by prior arrangement. Groups must make a booking in advance of arrival.
  • Please ensure the unit and number of guests you arrive with are the same as you have pre-booked, if this differs from the booking, we have the right to refuse the booking.
  • One unit per a pitch, our pitches cannot accommodate two units for example a caravan being towed by a camper.
  • Please refrain from meeting and doing any exchange of business /sales drop off or pick up onthe park or in the driveway/entrance to the park. The park entrance must be keapt clear at all times.
  • WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER PRICES AT ANY TIME WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

 

Deposits


  • If a deposit is taken for a booking this will be of £50.00, this will be non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
  • If the cost of your booking is less then £50.00, the full amount will be required this is also non/refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

 

Cancellation

 

We appreciate sometimes your situation can suddenly change which results in the need to amend or cancel your holiday.

 

  • If a cancellation is made within 28 days of your booking date. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN however, you will be given the option to transfer the value of your stay to an alternative date within 12 months of your original booking.
  • If you cancel less than 28-days before your arrival date, the balance paid will be lost.
  • Pitches are available from 12.00 noon on the date of arrival, and you are requested to please notarrive before this time, pitches must be vacated by 11.00 am on the day of departure or anaddition charge will be applied to tour booking.
  • LASTEST ARRIVIAL IS 9.00 AT ALL TIMES UNLESS PREAUTHORISED
  • We do not accommodate guest being added part through your stay, for example arriving as a party of two guest and adding a 3 person halfway through your stay.
  • Additional cars must be pre booked before your date of arrival, or a fee will apply, and a designated parking area will be allocated on arrival for your car.
  • If you fail to arrive on the date of your booking and have not notified us by 11:00am on the second day, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and offer the pitch to other guests. No refunds will be offered, and no exchange of dates will be available.
  • If for any reason a guest decides to vacate the park before the end of their stay, refunds will not be given.
  • If for any reason you cannot make your pre-arranged booking due to COVID reasons, no refunds will be given. We would advise that you take out your own holiday insurance to cover any losses.
  • We are not liable for any event that may occur preventing you attend your booking when circumstances are beyond our control such as mechanical breakdown of a vehicle, planned local events cancelled, illness of pets, work shift changes.
  • We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover any financial losses.
  • We ask that you please advise us if you are likely to arrive later than 9.00pm. If we have not heard from you within 24 hours following your expected arrival, we reserve the right to re-let your booking.

 

CAMPERVANS/SELF CONVERTED VANS / VANS TOWING CARAVANS

 

  • All campers must be up to acceptable camper van standards and be fully road legal.
  • A panelled van in which someone is sleeping in the back of, cannot be considered a camper van!
  • Commercial and sign written vans/vehicles, lorries, buses, horseboxes, are not permitted even when towing.
  • Converted vehicles will need to have suitable paperwork to accompany their vehicle, thispaperwork must show all gas/electric appliance work which has been carried out conforms to appropriate health and safety standards and we may request to see this.
  • NO LOG BURNERS ARE ACCEPTED IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, NOT IN ANY UNITS, AWNINGS OR ​BELL TENTS ANYWERE ON THE PARK!
  • BBQ`s are permitted but must not burn the grass, bricks to place you BBQ`s on are available upon request at reception.
  • Fire pits must be prearranged with us before your arrival for your bookings.
  • Campfires are not permitted anywhere on the park.

 

ELECTRIC


  • standard pitch is 6 amp
  • Premier pitch is 10 amp
  • POWER AND ELECTRIC VEICHLE CHARGING IS NOT PERMITTED ANY WHERE ON THE PARK
  • payment for your pitch includes electric hookup this is only suitable for light use in your unit. i.e. appliances such as kettles, fridges and lighting that are design for camping.
  • Adapters are not permitted; your pitch comes with one power supply please refrain from using multiple electric plugs.

 

VISTIORS


  • We are unable to accommodate visitors during peak periods due to restrictions around capacityfor the safety of our other guest.
  • During low and high season should you plan to have visitors then they must be pre-booked /prearrange before the day of your arrival, any day visitors must not arrive before 1pm and vacate the park by 10.30pm and max 2 visitors to a pitch (This most not exceed the 6 persons to a pitch no more than 4 adults in total )Additional fees will apply for any visitors and additional cars.
  • Please be mindful we only have limited parking space for cars.
  • ALL new arrivals and visitors must call in to reception before entering the park and complete avisitor form.
  • We cannot accept walk in visitors to the park which have not been pre-arranged, so to avoid disappointment please prearrange any visits.
  • Fortunately, we are within walking distance of Glastonbury town centre which has lots of lovely cafes and great places to meet your friends and family and support the local town businesses.


CHILDREN

 

  • We kindly ask all parents/guardians to be always responsible for their children, especially when using the amenities.
  • We ask that all children are always accompanied by an adult.
  • In the interest of everyone’s safety, the follow toys/items are not permitted to be used onsite, Scooters (motorised or self-powered), Skateboards, Rollerblades, Kites, and Ball Games.
  • Bicycles are permitted and may be ridden around the park in a safe and considerate manner;however, we kindly ask that bicycles are not ridden around the busy main entrance or reception areas, again this is primarily for safety reasons.
  • Please remember the road areas are in constant use by vehicles, therefore children are strictly forbidden to play on the road.
  • We do not have a play area on the park itself, so please ensure all children remain on the pitch that you have booked for your stay.
  • We kindly ask that you do not let your children run between caravans or pitches disturbing other guests.
  • We are located within walking distance or a short journey away from lots of fantastic attractions and places with plenty of things to do for your holiday enjoyment, these places also cater for children, where they can release their energy.
  • As parents ourselves, we understand children can get bored easily, but we please ask you to take note of the above rules when making your booking so that you and your children have a happy holiday.
  • Any person under the age of 18 a child must be in the same unit as an adult we do not allow children to sleep in separate tents awnings under any circumstances.

 

DOGS


  • Well behaved dogs are welcome, but owners must follow our dog regulations.
  • Maximum of 3 well behaved dogs per a pitch
  • All dogs must always be kept on short leads when on your pitch, and they must stay within the boundaries of your booked pitch.
  • Do not let your children exercise your dog on the park.
  • Any dog that is showing any aggressive behaviour or upset for other guests or is a nuisance we will have the right to refuse or ask customers to leave.

 

For safety’s sake please always read and abide by the park Rules.


  1. Touring Pitches are available from 12 noon on the date of arrival, and you are requested not to arrive before this time.  Pitches must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of your departure or an additional charge will be applied.
  2. Latest arrivals 9.00pm always.
  3. BARRIERS -under no circumstance do you let other persons/vehicles through the barrier with your fob key, we are available to let other guest in and out if neededas barriers are in place for security.
  4. 24 – hour CCTV in operation.
  5. The Park is protected at night by Alarmed gates and barriers restricting access at the park’s entrance. Vehicles are restricted from entering/exiting between the hours of 11.00pm and 7.00 am except for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access only
  6. 5 mph speed limit on the park always.
  7. Damage to any property or equipment should be reported to Reception.
  8. We take no responsibility for any damage to tents/awnings/units/vehicles due to adverse weather conditions.
  9. We reserve the right to cancel any booking due to adverse weather conditions.
  10. We reserve the right to refuse a booking or to terminate the visit of any person or persons whose conduct is detrimental to The Isle of Avalon staff, visitors, or any guests on the park. No refunds will be given of ANY monies already received if this right is implemented, and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
  11. Guests are expected to respect their neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum between the hours of 10.30pm and 9.00am., if noise is audible outside of your accommodation this is considered too loud.
  12. Every endeavour will be made to allocate guests the pitch of their choice, however it must be clearly understood that acceptance of a pitch booking is not conditional on the allocation of specific pitches.
  13. Always keep your pitch and the area around your pitch clean and tidy to enable us to complete grass cutting and maintenance.
  14. Free standing washing lines only - No hanging of objects from trees.
  15. Ground Sheets: On grass pitches, only the breathable type of ground sheets will be permitted. No restrictions on hard standings.
  16. A gazebo can only be placed on a pitch if an awning isn’t already in place, tents cannot be use in substitution of an awning.
  17. Ground damage will have a fee applied.
  18. Guests using the facilities at The Isle of Avalon touring park do so at their own risk, we accept no liability for loss or damage to persons or property/accommodation or amenities that become unavailable beyond are control.

19)  Any additional cars must be booked and paid for. Please see tariff for charges. Please be mindful that parking is very limited onsite.

We do not permit any recreational motorised scooters – Mobility scooters are acceptable but are required to adhere to the 5mph rule whilst being used onsite.

Complaints


We Hope you will be happy with our service. If you have a complaint, we encourage you to discuss it with us as soon as possible as this gives us the best chance of resolving it with you. If you remainunhappy, please contact us again within 28 days of your departure and we will try to help you. Please refer any complaints to Mrs Candice Hatwell, Park Manager.

 

If you have any questions/queries or are unhappy whilst you are staying with us, please raise this with a member of staff or our family, so that we can help you and take on board any comments as we are unable to rectify a problem once you have left.

Please remember you are visiting a small family owned and run business, we are a traditional family and are hands on at the park, we have covered most terms and conditions before your booking and we understand most of you have toured the country but please remember every touring/holiday park have their own policy so please refrain from assuming that all the rules are the same, we have tried to make ours as clear as possible . we love what we do as a family and hope you have an enjoyable staywith us.
